During the Red Wing Collectors Society Convention, the famous “Little Brown Jug” college football trophy will be on display at the Pottery Museum of Red Wing on July 6-8 and July 10-12. It will be displayed on July 9 at the Red Wing High School when Ken Magee, author of The Little Brown Jug: The Michigan-Minnesota Football Rivalry will make his keynote presentation at this year’s convention. This is the most famous piece of Red Wing stoneware in existence. This is likely to be the jugs first appearance in Red Wing since it left the Red Wing Union Stoneware Company factory more than 110 years ago.
