The Goodhue County Historical Society will hold its Annual Meeting on January 29, beginning at 2 PM at the History Center, 1166 Oak Street in Red Wing. Following a brief business meeting and elections, John Grabko, Jr. will present a program on the Dakota Conflict, a watershed moment in Minnesota history with ongoing implications for local relations. 2012 marks the 150th anniversary of the Conflict, an event that has been called “Minnesota’s Other Civil War.” The public is encouraged to attend the Annual Meeting and Grabko’s presentation. No admission will be charged and refreshments will be served.
