Aye Mateys – There’s loot to be had on the Mighty Mississippi on August 18 as Hiawatha Valley Sail & Power Squadron sponsor a Shrimp Feast & Pirates Poker. The fun starts with a Poker Run at 1 PM at Bay Point Park near the launch ramp, followed by Social Time & Prizes at 4 PM and Shrimp Feast with large boiled shrimp, Kielbasa sausage,potatoes and corn on the cob at 5 PM. No utensils required, casual attire. Price is Poker Run - $5 per person; Shrimp Feast - $15 per person adults & $8 - children under 12. You don’t need a boat to take part in the fun, just join the crew of a host boat.
