Hiawatha Valley Pilots Association will hold a Young Eagles flight day on Saturday, August 28, giving children ages 8-17 a free airplane ride and helping them learn about the possibilities in the world of aviation. Pilots will explain about how an airplane works and how pilots ensure safety, which is their prime consideration.
Those planning to attend should contact Dan Johnson at 715-448-2233 or
dan.johnson@becmail.com anytime prior to the event. Indicate the number of kids who will be taking flights.
On August 28, come to Red Wing Regional Airport starting at 9 am to register. Young Eagles must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian to complete the necessary registration/consent forms.
Use the West Entrance and park in or near the Civil Air Patrol parking lot. Meet at Seifert Skyways, which is just east of the CAP parking lot.
