Noontime Kiwanis along with the Red Wing Chamber are sponsoring a Mayor Candidate Forum on May 23. Reservations are required by May 16. Lunch is $15 (which includes beverage, tax & tip). To reserve your spot, or for more information, contact the Chamber office at 651-388-4719.
The following six candidates filed for the mayoral special election: Dan Bender, Ernest Stone, John Sachen, Christopher Nelson, Elizabeth Kocina, and Samantha Tix. The special election is scheduled for June 11 (absentee voting is available June 8—June 11 at City Hall). The person elected June 11 will complete the term left by Dennis Egan, ending January 2017.
