The Goodhue County History Center is opening the new exhibit Prairie Island and the Nuclear Generating Plant on Saturday, December 1, with a free open house from 1-4 PM. The exhibit examines the history of the land and the Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant, how nuclear energy is produced, safety matters, and current topics. Models of nuclear plant equipment will be on display along with photographs and artifacts.
