Event Description:
Every year the Epilepsy Foundation of Minnesota (EFMN) designates a community as "seizure smart" and focuses on training as many people as possible. This year Red Wing was selected. There will be a community open house at Minnesota State College–Southeast Technical on October 26 from 9-10:30AM featuring a speaker from the Mayo Clinic, refreshments and a seizure smart certificate to be awarded to Mayor Bender or a city representative. To date, 418 people in Red Wing are "seizure smart." Two additional sessions will be held at MN State College-SE Technical on October 30. Rose Linder is the EFMN volunteer educator in Red Wing.
