Event Description:
Red Wing Confectionery (323 Main Street), was purchased by Nesbitt’s Nursery on June 1, 2013 and it’s time to celebrate! The busy time of the year and learning a new business didn’t allow time to celebrate with a Grand Opening last year, so they’re doing it now…on their ONE YEAR Anniversary! Stop in during their Grand Opening Week, June 1--7 featuring daily door prizes, free daily samples, exclusive discounts, fun demos, music & mingling, and Facebook Daily Winners, PLUS 7 Days of Rhubarb (Oasis Eatery will be preparing a different rhubarb pastry for each day of the week). Activities include:
June 3—Tuesday Tours, Walk their “Wonka Way” (sample chocolates as you watch them being made)
June 5— KWNG’s Live Broadcast; Listen to Leah & Leon sing, along with MorningStar coffee, sample cold-pressed coffee
June 6--Live music--At 1PM, the Red Wing Chamber Ambassadors will perform an official Ribbon Cutting!
The Nesbitt family is continuing the confectionery’s great tradition of delicious locally-made chocolates. They also offer a variety of other candies and treats, including salt water taffy, mixed nuts, chocolate covered fruit and nuts, mouth-watering gourmet truffles, St. Paul’s famous Izzy’s ice cream, delicious beverages that will hit the spot including MorningStar coffee (hot or iced), root beer floats made with Izzy’s ice cream & Sprecher’s root beer, French or Italian sodas, and more!
