Event Description:
The Red Wing Farmers Market will be hosting their Grand Opening on June 1 from 9AM-2PM at the Red Wing Train Depot (429 Levee Street). Music will be provided by David Carpenter & Band playing country music from 10AM-Noon. There will also be a “sheep to shawl” demonstration. A certified sheep shearer will be on hand doing an actual shearing, along with crafters who will show the stages of converting raw fleece into combed roving, spun yarn and finally into a wearable wool garment. Don’t miss this live demonstration. Bring the kids!
