Trunk or Treat

It’s that time! As the trees shed their leaves faster than a round-heeled doxie during shore leave, downtown is getting dolled up for the season. Join us as we triumph over bad spirits and fright with two special events: Trunk or Treat for good old pumpkin carving, a costume parade and cars with TRUNKLOADS OF CANDY! Let’s cross our fingers and hope the kids get all hopped up on sugar BEFORE the parade! The kids will be flyin’ higher than the Macy’s Day Floats!

The other event is is our way of keeping the really big monsters away: Shop For a Cause raises money for local families who are facing cancer. After the shock of diagnosis, treatment and then the medical bills, some families need just a little more for the non-medical expenses. Let’s give our families some day care, rent or mortgage help, or transportation to the hospital and back. Cancer is scary enough, but let’s see if we can treat our own families with some love from us.
