Event Description:
Celebrate tradition, heritage and culture at the annual Dakota Wacipi Celebration, hosted by The Prairie Island Indian Community! Join them in the pageantry and rich heritage of the colorful regalia, breathtaking tribal dances and beautiful traditional songs. This event features dancers and drummers from all around the United States and Canada, grouped by style and age as they compete for cash prizes. Each day the celebration will begin with Grand Entry performances starting on July 8 at 7 PM; July 9 at 1 PM and 7 PM and July 10 at 1 PM.
